What arcade world record do you think you could get?

I could definitely take down the Race Drivin score (Super Stunt track). The WR from 2009 is currently 607,162. My best is over 4,200,000. All I need is a Race Drivin cockpit and a few weeks practice. :)

I can easily get the World's Worst Score on Stargate records just about every time I play it. I have seen people push the start button and walk away and get better scores than mine :(. I don't know why I keep restoring them. I'll restore one, play it for a couple of months, sell it off and start thinking that I should have a Stargate again, repeat.

Last I saw the record for NBA Jam was more than doable (however many points you beat the computer by is your score) and I've had games over that score numerous times. I've also had this desire to go after the record for X-Men. You have to set the difficulty to very hard and I'd imagine keep going until you finally die since the game just loops after you beat Magneto.

I will eventually break the record for The End

Tough game. Good luck. Perry Rodgers' record on The End has stood since 1982. It was his last remaining golden era arcade record until he took the Popeye crown at last year's NW Pinball and GameRoom Show. His previously thought unbeatable 3.4 million on Mario Bros. set in 1985 was finally topped in 2009 (and then subsequently pushed quite a bit higher by the same player). His Popeye record won't last though, as there are two other active, top notch Popeye players who are capable of destroying that game.

Pretty sure I have a good shot at pepper II if I practice.

Again, good luck. Greg Erway is a very talented golden era arcade gamer in his own right.

Not sure if you counted him also Chris, but Ben Falls could certainly give this one a good run as well I think. I'm pretty sure he's got this in his sights.

I'll just copy and paste the list from the "Who Here Has A 1M Point Arcade Score? " thread.

Mario Bros.
Vs. Super Mario Bros.
Pac-man
Pac-man Plus
Indiana Jones

Nova 2001
Satan's Hollow
Choplifter
Freeze
Asteroids
Thief
Joust

StarGate
*Star Trek
Defender

And you can add Ms. Pac-man, Gun Smoke, Elevator Action, Millipede, and Mazer Blazer, to the list also. :D

(The ones in bold would require the least amount of practice).

Well, I was the record holder on Yie Ar Kung-Fu but looks like it just got toppled recently. Was that anyone here? I know a few people on the board have machines.

It was Estel I believe? I don't think he's on KLOV but he's on some other gaming forums like MDA's forum, TG, etc I think.

For what it's worth there are several max outs (9,999,900) of Yie Ar Kung-Fu on MARP.

Yeah, I've seen some of them and they're freakishly good. If I could figure out how to do it on my cab I would, but I'm pretty sure I'd just screw up the way I learned to play. The timing on those replays is just…I don't know how else to put it…insane?

I wonder if they use the extra button that's not on the cab.

And to stay on subject.

Return of the Jedi- I have the record on one of the settings, but I need a little practice to get the other.

Excitebike- My record already, but easy to beat.

Raiden Fighters Jet

Punchout- If I had all day.

X-Men vs Street Fighter

Bloxeed

Cobra Command(side scrolling Jamma not LD)

Jail Break

Rush 'n Attack

Mercs

Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting

Life Force

Hector

10-yd Fight. I was playing it the other day, won the Super Bowl, was disappointed that it just repeated the pro game, died, then later check TG and realized I was only off the world record by about 25000 points. Bet I could beat it...

I have the Timber high score now. I took a day off of work to get over 6 million. Took just shy of 8 hours. I could have gone way higher (still had 10+ extra men) but I was nervous about my machine kersploding since I lost a monitor on an earlier attempt. I think my son and I will take on the two player high score next, that should take less than an hour.
