1. Atari
2. Williams
3. Centuri (My personal fav to collect)
As old as I am, I should be with the golden age crew but I just love the silver age games so much better throught the late 80's-90's.
I think that every other company has a big huge hole in their portfolio. This is all IMHO
Konami - no good fighters, maybe only one good driver. (GTI-Club) They have a great variety of other games although. You get their music games also, nice pick...
Capcom - no drivers or deluxe cabs, just the best fighter and adventure games.
Atari - only golden age stuff, nothing good in the silver age... 3D???
SNK - lots of great games but still only in a narrow range of timeline and genre.
Midway - always over the top stuff. Ultimately their fighters suck.
Nintendo - only their classic stuff is cool but that gets old quick.
Taito - had many great games but I believe that they didn't do the best in the 3D age.
Namco - they have a great great portfolio of games. They dominated in the golden age and 3D age but seem to be less strong in the Silver age games.
Sega hands down... Drivers, Sims, fighters, gun games... puzzle etc... If you are going to fill an arcade with only one manufacturer only... it's got to be Sega. Imagine an arcade with even the most simple classic games like Zaxxon to, VF, Daytona to the quirky Scratching DJ, Monkeyball, Bass Fishing, HOTD etc... Their Deluxe machines were the best... from Moving sitdown Outrun to G360.
With Sega you get:
* most variety of genres covered
* some of the best examples per genre
* it crosses the span of timeline (maybe a little weaker in the golden age)
* huge grand gaming experiences
of course this is only if COST WAS NOT AN ISSUE. Sega does NOT give you the best bang for your buck.
