Recent Score for me and a buddy, i found a Midway 4 player cab for myself and a 4 player midway cab that was converted to Maximum Hang Time for a buddy. Turns out i think both are NBA JAM cabs. I'm positive on mine but not 100% on his (99.5% tho).

The 75$ one is in great condition with the bill acceptor but no monitor or board. Unfortunately it was converted to Golden Tee but nothing that can't be fixed. it has the original un molested harness in it. inside i found a "Manual" folder containing, a 14-19" WG Megatouch monitor manual, the board side megatouch manual, some bill acceptor stickers, a "Strong Sexual Content" sticker, the Golden Tee 3D manual, 2 bill acceptor manuals, and 1 one dollar bill lol.

The 250$ one needs to have the sides of the CP stripped and the sides of the cab also but came with a very nice Hantarex 25" Polo. my buddy wants to replace a bunch of cherry switches and a joystick or two, other than that all it really needs is a new AC Power Cord. Not bad at all for $250, His cab also had a "Manuals" folder, with NBA Maximum Hang Time Kit Manual, and a bunch of original Midway cab stickers for the inside of the cab.

Both cabs also had various registration cards for the machine some fliers and other things.

I'll be posting these pictures and more on my photobucket account, but here's a few of what they look like.

Cool. Do those warranty stickers typically survive the conversion process? Good to know for anyone else buying a painted over cabinet.

High res pics, and many more pics of both cabs.

I highly doubt they would survive being painted/vinyl'd over as they are pretty much just printed on paper. the midway warranty sticker shown there is inside the $75 (free) cab, but no where to be found in the $250 cab. my MK1 cab has the warranty sticker both inside (in the same spot as the nba jam cab) and on the back above the door.

Looks good. From what little orange I see peeking out, you may have an unfaded cab when you're done.

i've got to go pick up like 1.5 gallons of citri strip and mostenbock's as soon as possible and get to work stripping cabs. I'm hoping for the best on the side art on both cabs as my buddy will be stripping his also :D.

Got some pics of the Manual Packet filled with goodies (and 1 dollar :D ) btw anyone know what that plastic black mega touch thing is there to the right of the dollar?

also the MTN (Midway Tournament Network) packet what's that all about? :D

Just thought I'd share an update on this one. Stripped the sides, removed the screw in Marquee light, got some control panels (just waiting for the artwork to be finished completely) and slapped a board set into the "Golden Tee" machine. (been hoarding these photos for a year).

100% citristrip (other than a final wipe down with denatured alcohol)

Nice score and great job on removing the paint! :) That paperwork/flyer on the "Midway Tournament Network."..were there games that actually used it? I don't remember even hearing about it before.

Thanks, I think the MTN flyer/paperwork was for the megatouch stuff.

also

i later found out the plastic part i was wondering about was the DVB plate for blocking off the dollar bill validator when it's not used. (also a megatouch part)

The Citristrip attacked the white on my NBA cab and made it like jelly...So I still have some cleaning to do...I wish my removal went as smoothly as yours.

I've heard that a lot.

I'd like to add it took me 4 hours per side (8 hours total to do this machine), when i did the white i didn't leave the citristrip on hardly at all, only for 3-5 minutes for the first application then 1-3 minutes for the finishing/clean up applications after. Citristrip dries up very quickly even up here in the north east (even tho i use a damp rag as a remover/agitator). And my main goal is to save the art under the paint not to do it as quickly (or lackadaisically as possible while throwing caution to the wind). Not saying you rushed your job but i've seen and heard some things (on other peoples attempts) that lead me to not be surprised that the artwork was damaged .

I warned my friend who also wanted to strip his and he's been a little more standoffish since i told him the time it takes. I stripped my Killer Instinct cabinet with the same stellar results, tho the time invested has caused me to slack on other cabinets that need the same treatment. Hopefully i'll get to two more in the 2014 year.

Man that looks great. Why do people paint over nice cabs like that.

to preserve the artwork underneath it for the next guy!

nice work brood, 8 hrs to remove the paint well worth it, looks great.
