You werent acually expecting Mario Bros. were you? If your a Nintendo fanboy and have a weak stomach, look away now...

Another one for the hellcade books. Yes its in my basement, yes I acually paid for it ($100 for this and a dead Hang On). A piece of work to say the least. It does work, I just need to cap the monitor which is 25" BTW.

Obviously not a keeper. Taking votes on what to do with this thing.

What the hell.....that is an abomination! I couldn't even tell what it was in the first photo. WOW.

whywouldyoudothat.jpg

why would you do that

If that were mine I would convert it into a chair and add a cool retro corded phone to it, and I'd make damn sure the marquee light still worked... :D

Haha! The Mario Bros widebody lover in me says to restore to its former Mario Bros awesomeness, but that'd be a crap-ton of work to restore an already working game. I'd say strip it of all the stuff you want and just sell the cab and the other unwanted stuff super cheap to someone on here looking for a MB WB cab for a resto project.

The youtube thing does sound pretty awesome though. I think I am subscribed to your channel,so I'd definitely be watching.

You must have missed my little joke there :)

The sides are from a DK cab or likewise. There is blue underneath the paint. Thats the only Nintendo related part of this beast. The rest of it is just lumber and paint with some Midway handles and PCB rails thrown in. The cabinet is about 28" wide, no doubt to accomidate the 25" monitor, and its pretty flimsy.

The sides could probably be salvaged, but yeah, too much work. I'm going to cap the monitor today and see how that goes. Either way Ill try a cheap CL sale first and go from there.
