Beyond frustrated does not even begin to explain it.

RFM boots with 37 switch errors.
SWE1 will not boot at all. Nothing.

I am walking away from it for the night. Repair thread to follow.

I'll bet if you plug the playfield back in it would work better!

The cool thing is that in that photo, the playfield is plugged in! That was one if the cool things about the Pin2K system. You could have the PF out of the game and still play it!

There were many other cool features as well.

I hope you get it going. I just bought a RFM before Nucore was dropped and I am going to do all the PM repairs to it asap. It is an awesome game and far from junk but I wish they would start making Nucore again. Game play is much more fun the AFM in MYOP.

That blows. I am having a shit day as well my family has all been ill the last two days, started with the kids then my wife and now I have it. On top of that I tried to work on Space Shuttle last night and hit some soft wood and the drill bit went all the way though the back to the front.

Fuck my life.

Dammit all this practical stuff is ruining my good jokes now.

He's probably busy this weekend at Expo, but Rob Anthony would be your guy to fix your PC inside your game. If it gets to that point and you need this thing repaired, you can contact him at: [email protected]. He knows his stuff on Pin2k and would definitely be the more affordable option now that NuCore has got out of the game. Good luck with your game!

I see a SWE1 playfield.

That game is a paperweight even if it's working.

LOL, I don't get the hate for SWE1. Okay, the movie was not that good (IMO), but the game for what it is stays true to the movie. I have personally spoken to John Popadiuk about the design phase of the machine, and they were VERY limited by Lucasfilm as to what they had to work with. I think given more time, it could have been quite different.

I think the game is fun. Is it as good as RFM? I don't think so, but I think it used the platform well.

Hope you get it figured out. I love that game. I'll second the limited by Lucas severely. I listened to a few interviews and they had like no artwork/video choices whatsoever, it was literally crammed down their throats.

IMO, I think the horrible movie dragged the pin with it. Williams thought they had struck gold with the new SW license, only to have the movie turn out to be a steaming pile of crap.

However, I seem to also remember hearing about Lucasfilm basically saying; "Do this, or we'll revoke the license agreement". But I can agree - it could've been ALOT better if Williams had more input.

Yes, I think it would have been more interesting had they NOT gotten the license. They were working on a machine called Defenders that I think would have been pretty cool. Once they got the license, everything sghifted to Star Wars.

Even then though, I think Willliams had already decided they were closing the pinball division :(

Well, I feel like I had a "DUH!" moment.

I moved the Prism card to the other PCI slot, and the game came right up!

Flashed the Prism card with the update manager, and Star Wars is working great! I am assuming this will fix the RFM errors as well, but since Star Wars is working, I will be leaving that in there for a while.

What was throwing me off is that RFM would boot, but Star Wars wouldn't which led me to think it was not a computer issue. Maybe I should not have sold off the spare motherboard I had :(

Thanks to all who replied. Meesa Very greatful! (sorry).
