What a $100 Tron looks like

That looks great, I'd be inclined to save that sideart since it doesn't have the hand wear most usually do.

If you get a Gloss Black Testors paint pen, it will blend very well into the original artwork. You'll be surprised how well it will look with all the white scratches touched up.

Are the interlocks all pulled out? It might be something really simple- totally dead is usually the easiest fix.

That cabinet is in really good shape, I wouldn't do anything to it. Just has a nice patina! You could color in the scratches, but it is a beauty. Just use the magic eraser on the front.

Welcome to the tron club.
Don't forget to do the battery up grade.
And it if doesn't work, I am sure there are many would would give you a hand to help you to fix it.

That looks like a cherry Gorf in in the Background! And what is that HUGE Super Nintendo further back??

Thanks! Gorf was my first restore (follow along here http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=179447).

The Super Nintendo is a store display kiosk. You can see it better in this pic attached here.

I'm not planning to replace side art or much on this at all. It's in great shape and may just do the touch-up work using a Gloss Black Testors paint pen that Mike suggested. Appreciate the input! It does need a new rear panel cut and new locks, but that's easy enough. Had to do the same on my Gorf.

Just need to figure out what's the issue with the power. Wish my skills at electronics were better sometimes but I learn pretty quick. If there's someone around Buffalo/Rochester that'd be willing to give a hand to get it up and running I'd appreciate it!

Gee, I wonder who lives close by who would help you out, I wonder??

I have a birthday party Saturday for the grandson, maybe Sunday?

I hope that replacing the power cable fixes the problems. I am sure there will be other things, there always is. :D

Also, here is a suggestion on a multimeter to pick up. You don't have to get this one, just you need to ditch that auto ranging one.

congrats that tron is awesome, + I get to use you pic to convince my friend with an xB he can help me move games!!

I have to ask one question though... what happened to SRW on this one? Did he leave one for us or... gasp... did he actually miss it? ;)

I think that Steve is slipping.

Oh don't think I didn't see it because I did!

As luck would have it I was stretched too thin at that moment. I was involved in buying a working Pole Position locally and my guy Ed spent the day picking this up for me in Howard Beach.

And this from Jeff in Staten Island.

So with my hands tied I emailed Tim and told him to get on it but he was in NH and when he looked up the CL post it had been deleted.

So while it's RARE I guess my reach does have it's limits. ;)

Tighe hooked me up with some phone tech support and we worked through that the power cable is bad. Going to replace that tonight. *fingers crossed*

John, Sunday sounds good! Got the day open so whatever works for you.

You'll have to take 2 cars or borrow his xB - once you cram a cabinet in there nobody besides the driver will fit!

Just take all the headrests off, fold the back seat down, move the passenger seat all the way forward and then fold it back until it's flat. Maximum room that way :)

I have fit two people plus a Turbo Mini in mine with the hatch closed, but she was right up against the dash in the passenger's seat LOL

That xb gets 35? I am so sick of commuting in my saturn sl. Gets 40, but I hate fallinf into the seat that is 1foot off the ground.

The new style xB's are bigger and heavier so the mileage isn't as good. They're longer but not as tall so probably not as haul-friendly.

It's definitely a tall guy friendly car. Lots of leg room
