What’s your favorite game to look at?

My collection: Phoenix. The side art is so bad-ass! Runner-up would be Time Pilot. Why did Centuri wait so long to have full side art?

In general, I'd have to go with Tempest. It's so iconic, and...Bad-ass!!

I'd have to say that a complete 8 player Deluxe Daytona USA setup is a thing of beauty to look at. That INSANE multi-monitor attract, flashing lights, Daytona theme, I could watch it all day.

Of my personal collection, I'd say CarnEvil. It has a lot going on with it's attract mode and the cabinet graphics really pop.

It's hard to not look at the amazing graphics of Radiant Silvergun.

That game is just bad ass.

I play it on my Sega ST-V Darksoft Multi and it just looks fantastic. NOT MY VIDEO

From Wiki:

"Several journalists commented on the game's visuals. Edge wrote the game was "arguably the finest technical showcase the Saturn has ever played host to." They praised the parallax backdrops, Mode 7 style distortion effects, and use of 3D polygons to create imaginative bosses. They felt the game was a successful attempt to push the Sega Saturn's graphical capabilities to its limits, calling it "a wonder to behold."[12] Sega Saturn Magazine also thought the game had some of the most impressive Sega Saturn graphics, and highlighted the great mix of 2D and 3D graphics.[4] Computer and Video Games thought the game outclassed graphics capable on the PlayStation or Nintendo 64.[13] Arcade called it a "gorgeous" and "sense-pummeling" shooter with spectacular explosions and visual effects."

(y)(y)

And the gameplay kicks ass as well.

One of the best shooters ever made for the Arcades.

Cabinet - Tron
Attract mode - Race/Hard Drivin' love to see the steering wheel spin itself.
Gameplay - Star Wars. Nothing's more vivid than the Death Star explosion.

With the attract sound off..... I love just looking at my Space Ace. I know it's daphne. But bringing it back from literally nothing to this point. Watching the attract mode of Dragons Lair or Space Ace over and over again never gets old.

Both very special for the presence in the arcade. I'd go to my local arcade on a Friday night, with both Space Ace and Dragons Lair going off, and those sounds always primed me for Saturday morning cartoons the next day.

can't say i've ever played it or saw one in the wild, i have a converted cabinet.. was a domino man, but underneath was lazarian.. love how the artwork flows on it.

This is what drew me in to repairing and restoring.

This one isn't as fun as Seawolf but this cabinet has it all, half silvered mirror, awesome bezel, badass side art.

There are a ton of great looking games out there, and I've bought and sold many games, classic and obscure. 11 years and 3 game rooms later, I still have Nintendo Vs, a Donkey Kong, and a Mario Bros. Nothing unlocks the visual feels quite like Nintendo for me.

For me, it's all about the visual wow factor. I've always loved Gorf, Tempest, and Tron, the colors, the lights, the cabinet artwork…just mesmerizing.

There's something about a game that grabs you the second you walk up to it.
