What’s your favorite game to look at?

Omega Race makes me very happy when I look at it...also QBert with the early marquee...

Tron and discs of tron. I look at them everyday as they are in my office…

^ I would say that having those two together is pretty much unbeatable, not only to look at but to play. As a huge fan of Tron the movie and game I was going to say Tron but I have the cabaret version which is awesome but not as nice to look at.

I feel that DOT is pretty much a game I have gotten the most emotional over, when I was young when I played an EDOT in Ocean City, MD and when I played it at Galloping Ghost. The sound, the music, the cab. Someday, someday...

THE ROWS RULE (even if some rows are still "under construction" ) LOL.
Gorgeous.

I Robot is my holy Grail and I definitely want to put it next to our Firefox. There's a space reserved for it in our arcade. (I'd also love to get a repro MH pedestal to put our MH in)

As for prettiest games to look at in our arcade: Solar Fox's multi layer mirror is pretty incredible. X-Men 6P also provides some awesome ambiance.

I'd nominate Crystal Castle UR as well, but we don't have one.

For all the shit it gets in almost every other category, Dragon's Lair should get little pushback in this thread.

Everyone remembers the first time they saw it in an arcade. It was mesmerizing to watch. And still is, IMO.
True true. It was absolutely stunning to see at first. Total game changer visually and left me awestruck.

Then I played it and was awestruck again. How could something so gorgeous suck soooooo hard at being fun?? The quote from Stranger Things was spot on, in my book.

Yes I agree. I love the style of the crystal castles cabinet. You can't beat the art work! Here's my row of crystal castles, proto cloak and dagger and millipede. Together looks awesome!

Yes, I think the mere presence of any original DL in any arcade collection is a force. I do remember seeing it for the first time and immediately I got the feeling "I'm not worthy."

And then when I played it I had no idea what I was in for, and so like most people I naturally blew it.

However it was and is DL that brought me into the hobby. Bought that game, repaired it (my first PCB repair! and first one when I starting seriously collecting) and still have it, running and working well on original hardware. I think it was the thought that someone could own an original DL cab blew my mind because it was untouchable in my mind ever since the first day of seeing it.

It's still fun to me - and still hard on some screens. I don't play it all the time to keep it hard in some ways.

But it is amazing to look at. Some days I wonder if I am going to get a Space Ace. It hasn't been a priority, or on the list, but I think it is now.

Honestly though, my favorite to look at is right here. It may not be as striking as the OG but it's mine, MINE!!

I honestly would love the OG Cabinet more if they had graphics on the head. No idea why there's just cabinet graphics on the base. Hell, they even threw side art on the head of 720 for God's sake.

Vector games in general are a lot of fun to stare at. I grew up in the 90s playing a lot of these older arcade games on MAME on my computer, so seeing a vector cabinet for the first time and how the bright lines are on a real CRT blew me away. I think my favorite vectors to look at are Tempest and Black Widow. So many colors!

I think my favorite cabinet to behold is the Sega Aero City. I just love the sleek, angular form factor, and the blue and white with the orange highlight up top for the marquee.

I'm going to say Omega Race Cockpit.

They put so much detail into the exterior. It's much stronger than Exidy2's Tail Gunner 2 just in how it is set up.

Sinistar Cockpit for a close second, but it's detail is mostly cosmetic plastic.
