I just got my space invaders put back together yesterday... and it looks great. However I'm having one issue with the monitor right now...

It's the vertical position... (yes the long side and it looks like a left right problem as the monitor is not only vertical but inverted in the cab).

The problem is this...

Looking down on the picture tube with my head in the cab... its the left side of the screen so this would be the bottom of the tube (if it were properly mounted on a shelf frame).

The screen image is too far down so some of the image is cut off (essentially I can't see the "S" of the top "SCORE <1>" text ... I can adjust it out... but its really picky... and it will be fine as long as the game is on... once i power down and power back up... poof its back to being out of adjustment.

This isn't a fold over issue and the monitor has been recapped. Other than this the monitor looks absolutely fantastic.

There are usually two metal rings with tabs on the yolk that you can use to adjust the position of the image. Have you tried using those to move the image?

I thought about this... but haven't tried it yet. I just thought it was strange that I could actually adjust it out while it was on... then it would snap back to bad after a power cycle.... so I figured perhaps an electronic issue.

Moving the yoke could definitely solve this issue...

You were spot on my friend... I didn't even see those rings!!! I've done my share of purity and convergence adjustments but I've never messed with a BW monitor... much simpler ;)
