Currently I have a Cruis'n USA video game that was given to me working with a Tube but not a monitor Chassis.

To make sure the game did function (display video) I used a friends Golden Tee Fore Monitor and Chassis to hook up to my game and was able to determine the video coming out of the logic was their.

Just recently I was able to get a WGM2775-U0TS50K chassis and hooked it up, I hear the crisp snap of high voltage and a picture that the SYNC was rolling. I was able to get the picture to stop rolling but I just cant get the picture to lock.

What am I missing? Does this Monitor Chassis need a cap kit or something else?

As mentioned before the complete Monitor and chassis from my friends GT Fore works fine in my Cruis'n USA.

I hope you're mating a 27" chassis to a 27" tube.

that said, you may or may not have noticed that there's no H-Hold on the remote adjustment board. it's located on the deflection board (the "chassis") and may need to be adjusted there.

Thanks Mecha,

Thanks for recommending that I check the tube is actually a 27" Tube to match the chassis.

After verifying the tube was 27" I was able to locate the H Hold in the middle of the chassis. The picture snapped right in.

I swear sometimes working on this stuff will cause you to go a little loony......

Now for the final question to get this going, The picture does not take up the whole screen, I manage all of my adjustments on my remote adj car and still have about 2" that will not adjust out.

I am wondering if a cap kit will help this problem or am I missing some other adjustment.

I will post pics.

Thanks,
Mike

the K7500 received an update along the way that removes a transistor from the big black heatsink in the middle (if you look at the 3 transistors in a row, it's the one on the far right) and moves it to the back edge of the chassis somewhere and is connected by a red or white 3 pin connector. if that connector is not connected or it's plugged in upside down it will cause the picture to not stretch the full size horizontally.

if that's not the case and your transistor is still mounted to the heatsink in the middle then..... yeah, you're probably looking at something else.

EDIT: you added pictures I'm guessing lol.. in your picture #4 in the original post yours is mounted to the silver heatsink in the back and connected with a red connector. you can try flipping that connector around to see if it fixes your problem, if it makes it worse, turn it back off right away and put it back. then we'll have to formulate another plan.

could be the yolk....if your B+ is around 118VDC and you have the back mounted transistor Mecha talked about hooked up correctly and it is good...I'd guess you may have the wrong yolk for this chassis....you still get a picture...it just won't adjust out all the way.

The pictures show vertical foldover. That is almost always a cap problem. It looks from some pics that the caps look fairly new in spots, so I'd start by just replacing the caps in the 600's...

My b+ is right on, I forgot I already caped out the chassis, that's why you noticed the new caps..... must be a compatibility problem...

oh well good enough for a garage my size....

LOL

Thanks for all of your help.
