I picked up the WG chassis. I believe this is a Wg7000. How can I tell what size tube it's for? Is the extra piece connected to the HV line one of those capacitors for a gun game? Also there is a place in the middle of the board that looks like a 8 pin header might go there is it supposed to be empty? First time loading pictures. I hope I got it right.
Thanks,
Alfred

Thanks guys. In the dishwasher it goes, and a couple of other chassis. The only gun game I have right now is an Area 51. It has a 25". I'll hang on to this chassis for possible future needs. I'm a little bit of a pack rat. :)

i'm pretty sure the extra piece [large black plastic block] on that 2nd wire from the flyback to the anode doesn't have anything to do with a gun game, but then again i could be wrong.

i picked one of these up recently and yeah, i had problems with it as soon as i capped it. i do have a WG K7400 chassis and yoke that i just might swap out with it.

No, that has nothing to do with a gun game. It is part of the functionality of the HV of that particular monitor chassis. This monitor should work fine in any CGA game.

A gun game works based on a sensor in the gun detecting brightness from the monitor. The only problem I've ever heard of with a particular monitor in a gun game was one of the new WG flat-tube's not working in a gun-game, but that might be a gun problem, not a monitor problem...
