Lets say... you have a busted 19" WG 6101 tube... what options are there for tube swaps? I keep seeing that if you use a regular tube that you're going to end up with convergence issues... how bad are they?

What options are there out there for getting a new tube, for decent price?

Got a Black Widow here, was putting the monitor in there... set it in there, was ready to slide it back into it's little home... *HIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS* Yeah... ... it sucked... pretty f'ng hard actually.

REALLY want to get this machine up and this is really (needless to say) holding everything up.

I keep reading that it a 10degree difference... but what options are there for correcting that for a "more common" tube? Is it all in the guns? Or is there something you can do to the yoke to correct for that? Really desperate to get this machine back up and running.

It would be pretty bad.....also, the neck socket is pretty different from most "regular" tubes.

The good news is:

RAM Controls has sourced 19" and 25" tubes from South Korea (With yokes and rings)

:)

Amp tubes, not WG6100 tubes.

There's nothing special about amplifone tubes... they're just medium rez 90 degree tubes. WG6100 uses a 100 degree tube, which is *much* harder to find.

The pinout is the same as most standard tube... the plastic shroud is what's different... you can pull the shroud off the broken neck and transfer it to another tube.

I have used a regular 90 degree tube with the 6100 yoke and rings.Maybe I got lucky, but you can't tell the difference at all on this one.Obviously you will need to find something thicker than the original wedges to support the yoke, but it can be done.
