WG6100 - vertical size can't be adjusted on Tempest

I'm working on a WG6100 today in a tempest. The chassis mounted transistors were blown. I get the game to come up and all voltages are fine. But the vertical size is too big and adjusting the pot won't help. Has anyone seen this? I can adjust everything but the vertical size pot. What's the most likely culprit? I confirmed the pcb is fine as I tried it in another machine and all pots work.

I am having similar issues. It diminished after I re-pinned the harness.

hmm

It's not the harness on mine. I think it may have something to do with the heat sink mounted transistors on the deflection board. I have to poke around there tomorrow. Something is
definitely amiss. All deflection transistors are fine and proper voltages are coming out.

Bad transistor for that axis. Could be the heatsinked ones, or one of the smaller ones behind them. Note that if it's a Tempest, the x axis labeled on the deflection board is the long axis of the tube. So focus only on the side of the board that corresponds to the too large axis.

It could also be an incorrect or partially blown resistor too, so check those as well.

Thanks

Thanks Doug. I'll tackle this during the week. I noticed this 6100 has a reproduction
style LV2000 pcb. Further testing, all voltages are accurate everywhere. However, there is one LED out. I'm wondering if this board could be the issue or if it's just the led that got taen out. I'm suspecting just the LEd.

Fixed!!!

Ok.. I managed to have some free time and fixed the issue. I hope this helps someone.
The diode at D702 was 1N4001 was shorted. Replaced this and all went back to normal.
