wg6100 playing blind, tempest/MH tempest weird screen also

I sold a guy a tempest over a year ago, he had it for a week and the monitor went out.
I can hear it playing blind. He forgot to bring me the keys, so I can't get inside yet, lol. he lost them.

Anyway, are there 100 things that could be wrong, or is this particular symptom common?

Should I order a bob roberts deluxe kit now and get it over with? I already ordered a tempest pcb cap kit, and a LV6100.

On another topic I flipped on my major havoc(tempest conversion) for the first time in a month and the screen is squished and moved to the lower right corner of the monitor. This already has a rebuild and a lv2000 or lv6100 on it. (frame mounted transistors?) I will try to get pics up.

ok I've done some reading. I need to see if it's a board problem. I will test my space duel with the tempest monitor and go from there.

Yes, there could be 100 things wrong with the first game. Is the spot killer lit on the deflection board? You need to verify the output voltages from the Tempest to make sure you have a good vector signal to run the monitor. Trying it in another game is a good start.

Second game....check your deflection transistors.

Get the deluxe kit and are the fuses popped on the deflection board?

Andrew

because the guy brought the game over to my house with no keys, I don't know anything yet. Aside from the fact that I heard it playing. I have come to understand that it can be playing blind and still be a board issue.

Yeah and on the 2nd game (my game, mh) the frame mounted transistors are probably the issue huh? the deflection board has been recapped and has the lv6100 installed.

ok I can now officially pick a lock.
I'm pretty stoked about that, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
YES!

and now more importantly, a quick change of the burnt 5amp 250v slo blo fuse fixed it.
again, hahahahahahahahahhahahahhaha

and now most importantly I need to get my major havoc going.
