WG6100 monitor in Star Wars - Anyone have this??? Question!

Hi all,

I have a WG6100 in my Star Wars. Seems as though the white lettering is off. I can't get a perfect white color even when using the potentiometers on the neck. Anyone have this problem? Is this a pcb issue? wg6100 issue? Can someone chime in here?

Fire up some of the checkboard video test screens and post some pictures. Once you have the red checkerboard showing, pull the finger trigger a few times to get to the white. It could be convergence.

Thanks! I didn't know how if this checkerboard changed or what. I'll give it a shot over the weekend and will post.

convergence

Yep.. It was convergence. I still can't get the cross checker pattern perfect but got it
close enough. All colors are perfect except for the white. For some reason, there is a small blue hue for the white letters. Other than that, the game plays and looks perfect. I'm going to leave it as is being that the game plays well and the colors are nice. No need to mess with it further.

Once you get it where you like it, you may want to use something like whiteout to "paint" a straight line across the convergence rings of the monitor (with it turned off so you don't zap yourself by being careless and touching something you shouldn't) to keep them in place.
