i am about to cap the HV part of the 6100

i just have i question.

Do you remove the green PCB board from the cage/metal box or just leave it all together?

I've rebuilt 5 of them and all of which I left attached to the box. It also helps eliminate the possibility of bending or breaking other components when you flip it over to work on it. My .02

I have always removed it, but that's because I replace more than just the caps. If you can get ahold of the caps without taking off the cage, then more power to you.

Unless you're replacing the flyback, there is no need to remove any of the screws holding the walls to the pcb...
