So I just picked up an old tv from this guy on a gamble. Had to pay $20, the guy wouldn't budge on the price. I couldn't see the neck inside but though WTF. So I finially tear it apart this morning and was happy to see the fat neck. I discharge the tube and try to take off the neck board which was giving me grief. I finally get it off hoping to see a neck that would work on a 4900 and it's different with a longer plastic shield. My shoulders slump and I think of other sh!^ I can do with it. Then the llight bulb goes off above my head...this neck looks like a 6100 neck! So I run down stairs, take off the neck board on my spare 6100, and they were the same. Holy shit! So I try the neck board on the donor tube and it slides right on. Sweet baby jesus!
So my question to you is, if I swap the yoke and rings, could this work as a replacement tube on a vector monitor? I attached some pics.
