so i picked up a roadblasters.. serial # UR#589 which is cool in my opinion... anyway, the monitor briefly comes on when the power is turned on, but instantly shuts down.. this is high voltage shutdown, right?

i had this before and i think a capkit resolved the issue.. gotta order the kit so that i can get it workin'.. but i just wanted to confirm if there was anything else to check to see if i need to order other parts..

the fuse was good and swapped it out with a tested working one, same issue.

thanks

i made a nice post about common k7000 issues but its not here, its at the "other" evil site... so if i link it admin will cut off my hands.

It's pasted here somewhere. Just link to that post.

Besides, even if you linked it there, he wouldn't be able to read it without jumping through hoops (i.e. registering)....

C57 is a common culprit in this scenario.
thanks for the tip.. i did have a spare and i threw it in.. works good. still will order the cap kit, but i can at least play the game and also hook up my trivia game to play it.. both work, just shy one complete monitor..
