I just got a Wells-Gardner K7635 19" medium resolution in the shop for repair. Someone has covered the flyback in silicon....I assume to seal a leak. I am going to replace it. I've never actually worked on a Wells 19" medium resolution monitor. Are the flybacks the same as their standard resolution counterpart? Also, I see the focus wire exits the top of the flyback and goes into a focus devider block, and then that goes onto the neck socket. I assume I have to splice the new flyback into this focus devider?....or can it be omitted?

Thanks!
Edward

I have replaced the flyback with standard K7000 fly's about a half dozen times with no adverse effects. I never reuse the divider block.
