I have a WG19K7611 monitor in a MsPac cab. The flyback flamed out on this one. The chassis has been capped, flyback has been replaced. On power up, it is not building high voltage. Can't feel any static on the screen...no glow in the neck. It does make hissing noises from the yoke area....sometimes the noise goes away. When I power it off, I can hear it start to make high voltage and I can feel static on the screen. There was a ground wire missing on the neckboard. I soldered a new wire and grounded it to the chassis mount and tube ground wire.

Any ideas?

The regulator is shot. Pull one leg of the d10 diode and try it again. If it works, replace the regulator on the upper left corner of the frame STRXXXXX

Pulled 1 leg on D10. The only difference is this time it did not build up any static on power down. While it was on, I was adjusting the flyback and I could hear the hissing change....

It crackles like high voltage is working...you can hear the static....but can't feel it on screen. Regulator too far gone for bypassing the shut-down to work?

God i hate these damn chassis. It's a good possibility that the regulator is too far gone but also take a look at the solder joints around the r89 and r101 resistor.

also make sure you have the correct value caps next to the shutdown pot...

and mark the hv shutdown pot, break it loose, move it back and fourth a few times then reset back to its original position...

I'm still guessing the regulator as the problem here but the flowchart you need is the K7000 one. These flowcharts are pretty much useless by the way

^^^ agreed...

id load up the "diagnostic shotgun" with a fresh hot and vreg..

also clean around the anode hole and make sure your rubber cup does not have any splits in it
