I decided to work on my asteroids deluxe pickup from a while back. I got my cap kit for a wells v2000 and pulled the monitor. I don't think a cap kit is gonna cut it. My anode is corroded and severed. I imagine my only option is to replace but I figured I'd check and see if anyone had any suggestions.

Thanks,
Mike

If it's just the spring that is corroded, you can solder it directly to the anode wire. You will need to insulate it with silicone if the insulator boot is burnt. Also the diode itself might need replaced. There is a guy on ebay selling new ones.

Could you link the eBay listing? I searched but I'm not sure what I'm looking at. Also here is a picture of what I'm looking at.

Not sure how to link it,but it is a varo h598 on ebay. It's not the original part number, but he says it has been tested and will work fine.Make sure to solder it the right direction and insulate it well.

I just purchased them. Thank you so much. Looks like I'll have a few extra as well if you come across anybody needing one.

again.... thanks.
