Ok. so, i just got a tankII and a space encounters cab recently, and they both have v1001 monitor issues at least (dunno about the main boards yet since I haven't tried plugging them in yet). on both of the v1001 flybacks, the anode wire is loose at the flyback connector. On one, it is all the way out of the tube, on the other, I could probably pull it out without being forceful. Is that a big deal, or can I just put the wire back in the flyback as far as it will go and call it a day?

I plan to do cap kits on both chassis before attempting to fire them up, but the anode problem seems to be the most obvious issue to spot right now. Thanks for your help!

ok. I ended up plugging in the tankII because in reading my emails with the seller, he mentioned that the monitor worked, and it does work, even with the loose anode wire, and doesn't make any unusual noises or anything, so that leads me to believe that I can just push in the other anode wire, and hope for the best. I still plan on doing full cap kits on both monitors (as well as game boards) even if they work, though.

Well, I tried it... got a glow from the tube neck, but didn't hear the normal whine sound that indicate the monitor is working well. Also, got a bit of sound from the game, but it sounded frozen, so I'm not sure if it's working much or not... probably not... yet.
