I have this WG U2000. Recently recapped it and replaced a few components that were not to spec. However now I can't adjust the horizontal width to meet the edges. Just under 3/4" on both sides. This is with width maxed out on the remote board. Are there resistors I can swap to increase the width? Or replace the pot?

Edit: it's playing a vertical game, so I have it on its side in the photo.

I've found the width coil does actually work on these. lol I had a U5000 years ago where the width coil was dialed all the way in and the Width adjustment had little range. I think the core is supposed to the top of the plastic. if yours is cranked in pretty far that's probably the problem.

see if that's what's going on and report back

I'm not sure if the U2000/U5000 have the same characteristics, but the core was about halfway down the tube to begin with and there seems to be no difference between maxed out either direction.

Edit: I retested with the core level with the top, no change. The pot on the remote does offer significant range, but max width is unaffected at 3/4" shy of full coverage.

I also tried a different game, and this time it did reach farther, now maybe 3/8" shy of the edge.

Ye'anyway, back to the original question: will reducing the rating of a resistor somewhere in the horizontal circuit result in a wider image? If so, which is the best candidate?
