Will the remote adjustment board from a u5000 monitor work on a u2000? I want to substitute my known good one to make sure it's not my problem.
-Jayme

I believe they are both P718's, so they should be interchangeable.

But if yours is "known good", then it's not the problem...

I guess I wasn't clear. I have a couple of games with working u5000's and a die hard dedicated with a u2000 standard resolution that plays blind. It has no b+ but I have not determined if it is the power supply section or if it is in shutdown from a deflection issue. I just thought if the remote boards are the same it would be a quick test to substitute the other remote board.

Well, they are the same remote board ...might have a letter designation difference, but all in all the same... but doubt it has anything directly to do with your dead monitor.

Is it ticking or anything like that ?
Would probably have to pop that little rectangle cover off the back and listen closely.

It's not your remote board. Even if it was disconnected, you'd get something on the screen for a while before the monitor possibly died. Even if it died due to a disconnected remote board, then something else on the chassis is why it's dead now...

Gotcha. Well I am going to put the power supply upgrade kit and a cap kit in it and see what happens.

I'm doing the cap kit on this and I can't find c610. I think I know where it is but the printing says c61 and there is a hole where the 0 would be. It's just to the left of vr600. Is this it?
