wg p756 power board

is that the K8000?

what resolution does it run? the only other WG monitor that LOOKED like that was the U3000.

actually, based on your remote board, the older style, it's probably a K8000 heh.

I don't think so, I think you have to cherry pick all the replacement parts for it.

Bob sells a K8000 kit, I installed one, you just have to kinda go over all your caps that are installed in the board already and compare to the kit ones.

K8000 also requires double isolation transformers. the power board on the K8000 I worked on had flux on transistors and a couple caps, meaning those have been replaced before. start cross referencing them.

What do some of these other labels say ?

Is there a serial number label on the large black heatsink ? (or anywhere else)

What game did this come out of ?

oh just throwing this out there... the 33" variant of the U3000 was the K7600

I won this junk chassis lot on ebay last year and one of the 33" U3000 jobs was in there. the neckboard looks almost identical to the K8000 for some reason. your power supply board looks very different from the K8000 in our Ridge Racer, that one looks practically bare compared to what you're running there. I think Chad told me once there was a replacement issued somewhere along the line. that was the entire premise behind the K8000's design, if there were ever a power supply failure, WG could send you a new PS board and you're back running again. that obviously backfired.

of course the one we got's from like 1992... no telling what they did in the way of revisions to that monster (obviously since there were many variations of the K8000) ... FWIW, the remote board you have there looks like the K8000 one we got, except it's connected with these ugly ribbon cables instead of the wires.

well here are somemore # from the chassis wg 1808557 with a barcode . and wgm 3330-U0TS39K AND LAST 054A3401-001, Thanks for any and all help so far, Ron

yeah, that junk chassis of mine had a tag that said WGM 3330 too. you're most likely sitting on a U3000 there, buddy. are you sure it's not VGA???

Will this handle a medium resolution signal

The link below shows under comments Digital 3 Mode Operation does this mean it's a tri sync?
under there other list they don't show a 33" u3000 and all the u3000 list as only VGA I'm confused.
That looks to be a U3000 (33K3001, 33K3201) which would have something like ......

P789 - Main Chassis
P583 - Neckboard
P756 - Power Supply
P737 - Remote Board

The "replacement" model listed is Tri-Mode (WGM3392-S5TS15C)

Is a bit confusing ain't it?
I always thought he regular U3000 was VGA...but the K7600 variant of the U3000 is standard/medium resolution.
But Ron said his wasn't VGA?? (or at least not running a VGA game)

I don't have any idea

So confusing I wish I had brought one home with me. I got a virtua fighter 3 deluxe showcase and instead of the big screen popular model it has a 33" monitor and runs med res. The monitor does not work so the first thing I did was try and use it on my good medium res monitor I think a 9200 don't remember and got no picture either so brought it home to my bench and long story short after taking the board set apart and putting it back together its now working on my bench with a different monitor a nanco 29 auto switch res. But now I want to move onto the monitor but there is some confusion on what I have here.
