Ive got a Operation thunderbolt cabinet that i just got working again, however it looks like red isnt displaying at all. Ive tried turning the red pots and it did absolutly nothing. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

wiggle the video input harness right where the connector plugs onto the monitor chassis..

if red comes and goes, you hav ea cracked/(cold) solder joint at the video header pins(very common)

you could also wiggle the ocb connectors etc and see if you can narrow down a bad connection somewhere....

DO you have another monitor to test with to maks sure your pcbs are working correctly(aka make surer the pcbs make red video)

I have a JAMMA cabinet i use to test with, but this board wont work in it because the video was remapped. I cant find a pinout for this PCB either. I'll try doing what you said, if that dosent work i'm going to try to get a hold of my uncle, he used to own a tv repair shop, its just gonna be rough getting him to actually move his a$$ and help me lol

too bad your so far away lol if you were in my neck of the woods id just stop by...

HOPEFULLY its just a cold solder issue and not something more sinister like a bad tube....

Wll i finally got my uncle to look at the monitor... I dont think he did anything more than ive done already... Poke here, press there, turned a few pots... However he said he can see all 3 color guns lit up in the neck of the tube... He recomended pulling the neckboard and checking for bad solder joints, but ive tapped around on that board a lot and never even got a flicker of red to show... what do you guys think?

i think you need to hookup another monitor to rule out your board and wiring before you dig into that monitor anymore...

It looks like you have white (unless the camera is lying). That means you have red. White is a mix of all three guns. If you were missing red, the white would look like it had a yellow tint to it.

Do you have another game to connect to that monitor? Anything you can drag close and stretch the video connector over from?

Interesting that he can 'see all three guns working" by looking in the neck....

I dont have anything that i can plug into it, its a jamma connector but the video was remapped... Just for the hell of it i tried my tekken 2 board in it and nothing showed up at all. I asked him how he could see all of the color guns working and he showed me a clear spot on the neck of the tube that had 3 things glowing inside of it.... I just took his word for it because he went to school for tv repair in the 70's and he used to own a tv repair shop.

There is definatly white on the screen, however no red shows up at all. If i turn the blue pot up i get bright blue, Turning the green pot gives me bright green... Turning the red pot does nothing at all.

you might need to rejuvenated the guns.

And i didn't mean "plug in a different board". Is this the only cabinet you have? If you have another working game, scoot that cabinet close to yours, and plug it's video connector into this monitor to see if what the picture looks like.

And explain about how the "video as all been remapped". The monitor only take video IN one way, and your board should only send video OUT one way if it's JAMMA.

You could try swapping the blue and red wires on the video input to see if you suddenly get the blue areas to appear red, or get the (unseen) red areas to appear blue. That might narrow it down between a monitor or board issue...

I get what youre saying now, i do have more than 1 cabinet... Ill try plugging the video connector in from one of my other cabinets.

As for the "remapped" part... Its a jamma harness but the video isnt in the same location as any other jamma plug... I dont know why Taito did that, but they did...

Well, that's because it is NOT a JAMMA harness. No wonder your Tekken 2 didn't work. Remember, just because a connector has 56 pins doesn't mean that it is JAMMA. Operation Thunderbolt has a unique wiring harness....
