All,

Finally got around to measuring the ohms on the yoke in the hack job that it seems I have.

So I got 7.2 (Horizontal if I read the schematic correct) on one set and 1.6 (Vertical again if I read schematic correct) on the other set. So question would be is this good for a K7500 chassis? or Do I need to change the yoke also when I find a K7500 chassis.

Second question. When I have the test screen with squares and the center dot up the top and one side do not have the final rows. (The boxes are open) Is there an adjustment to bring bring those on teh screen or is that going to require physically adjusting the yoke on the neck with wedges to get the screen adjusted. I tried all the adjustments on the remote board and none of them helped.

Thanks,

Marc Davis

1) Unfortunately, you can't just do a yoke measurement to find a compatible medium-res yoke. Medium-res yokes are wound differently than standard-res yokes - even though both will have similar readings - and the pictures will NOT look good if mismatched. You'll just have to try it and see.

2) I've seen that sometimes. If you can adjust the horizontal position or horizontal width to get those lines on the screen, then your problem is a simple size adjustment. If not, then you may not be able to do anything. I've seen some boards/test equipment that sometimes won't show the far line of a test grid, yet the monitor worked perfectly...

Thanks that is good to know.

Now I know what to look for when I find a replacement K7500 chassis for it.
