I believe the answer to this is a resounding no, except for P447D, but I want to run it by the group.

Can WG 7200, 7201 and 7203 (P819, P757D, and P859) chassis be used on a regular, early K7000 style (P447) tube (small neck)? I have 12 of these chassis. Also, please confirm a P447D chassis IS compatible (my understanding is the only difference is the remote adjustment pots, although the chassis looks a little different).

Anyone have a remote board and wiring for a P447D chassis (mine is missing), so I have no way to test the chassis.

Thanks.

i have used the 7203 on a regular K7000 tube/yoke with no issues.

so i do believe you can use all those chassis on the K7000 tube/yoke with no issues.

Really? Hmmm... I thought there were significant differences in the yokes.

I have been researching to ensure those are all standard resolution chassis before I plug them into my early K7000 tube/yoke. Anyone know for sure.

yea don't switch it to the higher resolution.

as the one i did, the owner did not need it to switch resolutions so i removed that option from the chassis.

Every donor tube that I've swapped (that worked) was for a k7000, k7200, k7203, etc.. I've used the original tv yoke if it was close, or swapped the yoke from a crappy k7xxx tube.. Works almost perfectly every time.. Just make sure your yoke readings and neck pins match up.

These chassis will be going on original K7000 tube/yoke, so it sounds like the conscensus is it will work fine. Excellent. I will start testing these. Thanks.

Will a P447D chassis work without the remote board/cable?
