So, I'm fairly new to monitors in general, so please forgive what might be a idiotic question.

I have a rather stubborn WG K7000 that I recently picked up used. Even after multiple manual degaussing coil/soldering gun runs, there is a corner that is still showing a bit of off color. It's frustrating because the tube has virtually no burn, and has great color otherwise. Degaussing has helped the problem, but it is still there. I also have to wonder if the automatic degauss is working at all.

Figuring that it may be some other problem related to purity, I noticed that that rear of this thing has multiple (5, I think) arrow shaped magnets (?) taped to the back of the tube? Is this normal? I've never seen such a thing. Can/should they be moved or removed?

Thanks!

The yoke may have been moved, loosen the yoke and slide it toward the tube a hair or two.

You may be right about this. The display looks ever-so-slightly skewed.

Since I'm very new at monitor tech, is there any suggested method for moving the yoke around like that?

Gave it to you already. The yoke has coated wiring, so you can touch it without getting shocked.

Simply loosen the one screw that holds the yoke in place. Gently adjust the yoke until it is where you get the best picture. I like to hold on to the white plastic outer ring to move it, for better control. Tighten the screw back down until it is snug, done deal.
