I just a WG K7 series monitor for free, and was told it was determined to be "junk" by a repariman. I hooked it up to my Splatterhouse to test it and this is what I got. No adjustments made any difference in the green color, though vert. and hor. possitions do work and flyback adjustments change the pic. quality. but it is always green. Cap kit and flyback? Or toss it out? I don't need it but it would be nice to have a spare.

Also, the monitor's glass has 3 scratches in it. They aren't too deep, but can be felt and seen. Is there any way to get them out or make them less noticable?

No way to fix the scratches. Tinted plexi wil make it less noticeable.

As for the green, the internal green gun may be shorted to the heater voltage. If so, there's nothing you can do about it, but you'd need a rejuvenator to be sure...

remove green drive transistor on neck board, if the green is gone then green circuit is the culprit, if still their then it is shorted in tube. could try and rejuve guns and heat up what is shorting but odds are it is gone. Save the chassis for further needs.

Thanks for the help. I'm gonna consider the tube bad since I don't know anyone with a rejuvinator near where I live. And I'm gonna keep the chassis since 2 of my 3 games have WG k7's. Thanks again!

I had that look on mine while troubleshooting (still am), and it was cause I mixed up the wires for the input signal (oops) fixing a wire twist n' tape splice situation. It's the trouble of having a monitor from a different game, the schematics don't jive, so you need to remember that when hooking different components together.
