A week or two ago I started a thread about a WG k7 series setup that I got for free. The tube has issues and may be junk, but I wanted to see if the chassis and neck board would fix an issue I have with another WG K7 that I have in my Willow cab. The monitor in the cab. would flash the entire screen with red for a split second then return to normal. It had been cap kitted and flybacked, all solder reflowed, blah blah blah. Well the neckboard from my new chassis is different than the one on monitor in the cab., so I just swapped the chassis board. The pics are the best I can get the monitor to look now, with the swapped chassis. The all yellow one is the dot test screen, and the multi colored one is the color test screen. All that shows up on the screen are lines of jumbled graphics, no solid background at all. Only good thing is I don't see any more red flashes. What appears to be wrong? Cap kit, flyback (neither has been done, ever, to the chassis), something else?

Well first, it appears that your horizontal hold is off.

Second, it dooesn't bode well to tell us that you had two different chassis ith different style neckboard, and you just swapped the neckboard fromone to the other. Not without giving us more info, that is. The 8-pin and 10-pin neckboard can be swapped between the two chassis, but a K7200 neckboard can't be swapped to a K7100 chassis and still work. At least, not that I know of...

The chassis that is hooked up now(in the pics) is a k7919. It WAS connected to a 10 pin neckboard. The neckboard on the monitor it is hooked up to now is an 8 pin though. The chassis that was hooked up prior to the swap(with red flash issues), I am not sure of it's exact number. It is visually identical to the K7919 chassis though, and they both have P447 written on the board near the center.

BTW, good call on the horizontal hold. I very slowly adjusted it and got a steady pic. But there are three of everything. If I turn the hor. hold further counter clockwise it will make four or five rows of everything. What gives?
