Anyone have a list of caps for a k4800 and there locations? have to order some things from mouser and figured i would just order the caps too.

I believe the K4900 is the same it's just a 19" version.

If that's the case then i already have the caps. Bought some for a spare k4900 and have never installed them.

Can anyone else chime in and confirm they are the same caps/locations?

The little squares are degree symbols, as in 105 degree cap. For some reason the degree symbol doesn't cut-n-paste properly into this forum.

Thanks for the lists. Quick question though. Does both the 4800 and 4900 actually call for those high temp caps? or was that just how the list was when you got it?

When I do cap kits, I make notes of the caps....especially on chassis that have never seen any previous work. I have a fair amount of cap kit lists all noted from virgin chassis. I would guess-timate 90% or better of the 4900's I've worked on had those 105 degree caps from the factory. I assume that was done for a reason (especially since 105 degree caps are more expensive than 85 degree caps). I replace 105's with 105's.....85's with 85's.

I agree, you'd be fine using 85's instead of 105's....especially in home use (unless you're one of those poeple that leave their games on all the time).

was just wondering. i remember reading a few topics about people using 105 degree caps for every single one. and how it wasnt necessary unless the chassis called for them.

plus it was late and i did not wanna go out in the garage and pull the k4800.

anyways, thanks for all the replies. will place an order later today.
