Hey all, I'm really having trouble getting this crappy monitor to cooperate w/me, it seems like every time I look at it a different way it gives me more problems. The latest problem has to do w/half the screen being completely messed up - looks like the picture has melted

Any help is greatly appreciated!

No improvement w/the Horizontal hold - it had been recapped, and was fine until today pretty much. It had a bit of curl on the left side before, but I'm not quite sure what changed to mess up the whole half.

Did you make sure to reflow ALL the solder on the two daughter cards and pins for them on the mainboard? They always have cracked solder joints.

FYI for anyone in the future that may come across this issue: I know this is an old one, but I dragged it out because I ended up having the same issue w/another K4600 ... these things are a total pain! It all has to do with reflowing the solder on the actual XY board. I'd originally only reflowed the solder for the pins on the actual board, and essentially I gave up after it didn't work. Thanks for the advice Robran, I went ahead and fixed both monitors.
