I have a WG D9400 without a remote board. Apparently replacement boards are non-existent. Looking at the schematic and pictures of the remote it's just 5 switches, 4 resistors of descending value, and a diode. I should be able to recreate a temporary remote with a bread board and the constituents, right? There's nothing special about them? No ICs or black magic involved?

For reference, here is the relevant section of the schematic.

Side question, for the diode, will any 6.2V zenner diode work? No watt rating is listed. Should I default 1/2W?

Well, it worked! Never mind that one button misaligned, we don't talk about that.1000002293.jpg
