Hello everyone,
I have what I believe is a WG 8100 25" monitor that I salvaged from my former F-15 Strike Eagle sit down game. I also think it is a medium res monitor, and I need to use it temporarily in my Vapor TRX, which also uses a med res monitor.
I installed it into my Vapor TRX cab and ran AC to it in the way I thought was appropriate. It ended up burning up a trace from the AC input to a diode. I looked at the schematic, and it seems that the AC was put in the right place. It also appears that it needs two AC lines run to the power/degauss board.
I've attached pictures of the power/degauss board, the burned trace, and the schematic that shows the P100 inputs. I ran AC and a ground to the AC IN 2 connector, a brown and blue wire. I also have a white AC wire available. The white and the blue have 120 AC, and the brown is ground (IIRC). The power board has two AC inputs, which makes me also wonder how to wire up the three AC lines to four posts.
So, any ideas what went wrong here? I should be able to repair the trace with some foil trace paint, but don't want to wire up AC and burn it up again.
Thanks!
