I have a wg 7400 chassis that I was going to tackle recalling it. In the process of starting I noticed the a crystal, resister or whatever you call it was fried on the board. I am not sure what it is and not sure the values to try to replace. If somebody could look on there chassis to see what it is for me that would be great. It's at c119 it looks like. I will try to post pic of it. In a few.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the response on this broodwich and gonemad. Now I was wondering if I can use a discap .10 mf @ 1kv 104z instead of a .1uf @ 500v that was shown on the schematic.

Thanks

Lol thought everything was good after capping more new problems

Nothing you can adjust on the neckboard will stop a scrolling screen. Those pots should be on the remote board.

There can be plenty of reasons why it's scrolling, but I need to know what game it is, how you have the sync wiring hooked up, etc...

Decided to start this post over. To see if maybe i can get some help in fixing my wg 7400.

This what i did. I recently recapped and put new flyback on this monitor chassis and kneck board. Put it all together turned on the monitor. Had to do some pot adjustments and got it to work great. Shut it off and turn game on the next day and had to adjust pots again got it to work again. Then shut it off and on again and its back to sync not right. I notice the kneck board was getting hot and noticed i put the white wire in the 6 spot instead of the 10 spot. But before i noticed it there was a poof of smoke. Not sure where it came from. Now the monitor is dead it wont come on or anything. Checked the chassis and neck board didnt see anything that would tell me i burnt something on the two boards. Just not sure whats going on now. If anybody could help me that would be great.

Thanks in advance

Still don't know what you've all done and what the current problem is...

A repair log? If you look at the first post of the K7000 sticky, you'll see a link to my thread with K7400/U2000/U5000 repair logs. It jumps you to the middle of the thread, so you'll have to scroll back up.

If you meant a flowchart, Randy Fromm doesn't like his copyrighted flowcharts posted elsewhere...
