I picked up a neo geo in a red z cabinet with a wavy 7000 monitor in it. It had a decent picture, but had distortion, mainly at the top. I put a cap kit in it, except for the one cap on the neck pcb, as it was a thin tan flat cap, and the + and - weren't marked, so i couldn't use the one bob roberts included. The picture is still wavy at the top, unless I shrink it down about an inch on the to and bottom. Then the picture looks great, but too small. When I increase the size again, the top gets distorted.
Any idea what i can do??
Thanks

What all else have you tried adjusting ?
50/60 Hz ?
Contrast ? (yes, contrast)
19" or 25" ?

The "wave" you described sounds more like a "curl".
Or does it actually wave as in moving like a waving flag?

Is it a steady curl to one direction or the other, not a moving wavy motion? If so, I was told by Channelmaniac that the Neo's have tendency to cause the very top portion of the screen on WG's to bend.

Mine bends the top 1/4" just slightly, and it's a 25" WG k7. But by adjusting the settings on it, you can't notice it unless you go into the crosshatch in test mode.

Post pics.

Email Bob - there is a place for that tan cap that he didn't include in the cap list, and it is specific to Neo Geo sync and the K7000. I went thru the exact same thing and since lost his email.
