I have a Star Wars with a 6102 in it. Plays fine, is bright and colorful. But, it kinda looks like a vertical raster picture. Why is that - is something wrong? See pics of issue and tube info.

Thanks.

That's just the shadow grid of the CRT, your monitor is fine. Kinda just how 6100's look since they use standard res tubes. Amplifone monitors, like what Star Wars originally shipped with, used higher res tubes so the vectors look smoother. Regardless, a color vector monitor just can't have vectors that look as smooth as ones on a black and white vector monitor because of the shadow grid.

OK! Thanks. I couldn't find anything wrong, and adjustments weren't making a difference.

All my vector experience is on 801/802's.

BW XY vector CRT have much better 'observed' resolution than COLOR XY vector CRT.
The lines will always be brighter and more linear on a native BW monitor.
This can best be observed on multigames displaying a BW game on a COLOR monitor.
Just doesn't look the same no matter how well converged it is. (Compare and contrast to color on color CRT).
