I had all my games lined up along the short wall of my basement, but I added a new one and had to move everything to the longer wall so everything would fit. After I moved the Tempest, I noticed the colors were a little off - the reds were purplish near the bottom of the screen. I figured something internal must have been moved when I moved the cabinet.
So today I went down to adjust it back to normal. I brought up the red crosshatch and it was clearly purple on the bottom. I pulled the cabinet out for better access and turned it 45 degrees to the right and then the crosshatch turned fully red. Turning the cabinet back 90 degrees to the left made almost the whole thing purple.
I did have some large speaker cabinets in the room so I moved them out, but the behavior was the same. I have heard that Earth's magnetic field can cause weirdness in monitors - is that what is happening here? Is there any way to mitigate this effect? I don't want to move the cabinet from its current position in the lineup. Any help with this is appreciated.
