Not sure if this is monitor or board related. Found an old thread where (I think) the same symptoms pointed to the PCB.

This is in a Star Wars.

Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Cold solder joints on bottom of pins on deflection board. Bad transistors on monitor frame.

What Komodo said.

Or flakey connection(s) on idc connectors
Or flakey socket connection with transistor
Or cold solder joints on deflection transistor sockets

Thank you guys for the replies and jkoolpe for the phone call. I jiggled the connectors to see if it would change the status and:

Cold solder joints for the win.

Who is that A-hole with the high score ;)

I've had this machine for 12 years and Erics score has been there for 11 of them.

I should have mentioned that if one of the 3 amp QB fuses blow you can get that image as well. MPSU57, Q703 I believe. One the small heatsinks on the deflection board. Just for anyone looking for a solution.
