Tempest, P316 board, flyback melted on the side. I will replace the flyback with a new one. The board looks clean with a little burn near R905. The connector to BU409 fell apart from burn. I will replace the connector also. The game plays blind, has neck glow, no spot killer on with my monitor. I have another monitor that I borrowed from a friend in the game now and everything is working fine. Anything else I should be concerned about besides just replacing the above. I do not like fixing things that are not broke.

It has been my experience that on a High voltage cage (319) that one item dose not go bad at once. Typically one component goes bad to start and it will take a cascade of other things with it. If you find that nylon connector for Q900 send me a PM because I need a couple of them myself.

I think Bob Roberts has them. I have to e-mail him and ask him if it is the correct one. The description says .156 three position housing used for monitors. If not, I'll check with Ed at GPE. I might as well get the deluxe kit from Bob at the same time. I plan on keeping Tempest for a long time.
