WG 4903 Filter Cap Replacement.

Red is the "+"
Green is the "-"
Yellow is the support mounts that do nothing

put your positive lead in the pink hole inside the red circle

put your negative lead in the pink hole in the green circle at the top position. If the negative lead won't reach that hole, scrape some of the coating off where I have placed the lower pink dot and stick the lead through that big ass hole next to the lower pink dot in the green circle.

OK I did this soldered the negative into the big hole. When I powered it up, nothing blew, the screen looks more colorful, but its a very small picture, and wavy.

wavy first... get a better solder job on that filter cap

pic is small... you just recapped the monitor and it may need to be re-adjusted

What I do is connect the positive lead to the positive pad, and then put the negative on one of the "islands" that don't connect to anything. A small length of insulated wire is then soldered to connect that pad to the negative pad.

This is what I do too!

You must make it work. You will pull your hair out with some of these caps and their packaging, they just are not the same exact as what you take out.
