Has anyone used a 19VMJP22 on a K4900 ?

Heres a memo from Bally that talks about compatible tubes for 19" monitors .

My 4900 right now has a 19VLTP22 .

Will the same tube that works with a G07 work with a 4900 ?

K4600 Frizz, has the two daughter cards

Ah...Ok... I have a K4900 in the Pole Position (it's staying), and a K4600 in the Pac that has a TON of burn... but I have a G07 tube that was in a Defender that has about 1/10 as much burn... so I think i'll drop the K4600 chassis on to the G07 tube/frame.

I've never recapped a K4600... a bitch?

Just to make sure, but notice Mod said the tubes were compatible. Just the tubes, not the yokes. Don't want you to damage your chassis.

That is true. You must swap yokes if you swap chassis...

He was wanting to order one of the tubes that I got for my G07's. So he would be using everything off his badly burned tube he already has by just moving it all to the new one. We just didn't know about the compatibility of this particular model.

I've never bothered to check for compatibility... So long as the tubes both have the same number of pins and they are in the same place I just go for it. In 25 years this has NEVER failed me.

I'm sure it will work.

cool thanks for link......

i've heard they can rebuild CRT burn-in....is this true? if so, how much does that cost and is it worth it?

These are rebuilt CRTs, but the ones you receive will not have burn. So that is what they cost. You will have to decide if it is worth it. The tube I put in my Tempest might of well have been NOS. No burn, brand new guns, so minty...

For most monitors you can tube swap the tube from a 1980's vintage TV and get a clean tube with no burn. Find a recycler near you. Read up on arcade monitor tueb swap.

good to know....

it's been awhile(5 yrs) since i've been into this and remember swapping tubes. i've never had one rebuild though.

IIRC you can even swap a 4900 tube with a 6100 xy tube! seems like i did that at one point(same tube #s).

This point has been debated, and has my attention as I currently have a 6101 with burn and several 4900 compatable tubes.

I would like to know the definitive answer.
