Wondering where to go to next. Measured 163vdc at the blue wire on the white ceramic resistor on the side of the chassis.

No heater neck glow, no high voltage whine. Should I check into getting a flyback? the board is really clean looking.

You're in high voltage shut down.....this happens when B+ is too high. You have several possibilities.....x-ray protection circuit or horizontal deflection circuit. Have you done a cap kit yet? Start with that.

just finished cap kit, will be able to test it out tonight. Found a cap leaking some gel though, so hopefully that's it!

okay, post cap kit (most of caps, didn't have 2 1000uf caps) I get 160vdc at the blue resistor for B+, but instead of the screen completely dead, I get a small green dot! It's centered in the screen. I took a pic!

I'll be looking for the 2 1000uf caps to change, but anything else I could be looking at in the meantime?

Thanks!

Woah.....that's strange. With the B+ at 160 volts.......that thing's way past the high voltage shut-down point.

Is the yoke connector plugged in? You'll get a dot in the center if it's powered up without the yoke connected.

i checked out the WG 4900 flow chart, since this thing looks alot like that, and it's given some steps to take. There's an option for 160v, so i might follow those steps.

If the yoke connector is the 4 pin RGB one, then yeah, it's plugged in.

Yes, follow the 4900 flow chart.
The yoke connector is four wires.....red/blue/green/yellow (might not be in that order).
