reacapped a working 4626. after i reinstalled it i had veritcal collaspe. triple checked all the caps. took the hor/ver board out of another game and plugged it in and it worked great!! reflowed evrything on this board and checked for contintuity eveywhere on this board. i am stumped what else can i do????

would that be the case since another duaghter board worked?

It could be. An easy way to check is to power up the monitor and then wiggle the daughter card. If the deflection changes for the better then the connector to the main board is your most likely culprit.

i will check the yoke wiring ,wiggled the card in there now and it seems fine.maybe i will just leave the card thats works in there , but i would like to know if i did anything to make this card fail, just for future repairs.

Ah, I misread your initial post. I thought the original card worked fine in the other monitor, not that the other card made the original monitor work.

Yeah, that's an X/Y card issue. Assuming none of the caps are in backwards, and no traces/pads are damaged or bridged, you can go through and check those transistors in the vert section (as outlined on the daughtercard). Perhaps one of them got bent and had a leg break or something...
