Hopefully someone can help me.

My WG 4606 in my Ms Pac CT, was working but needed to be capped, per the pervious owner. Like I said, it worked, but had lines and not vibrant colors and so on.

I capped it, checked my work to make sure all neg leads on the caps were the way they should and same for the positives.

I hit all male and female connector pins with new solder. Any other joints that looked suspecious also got new solder. Male pins cleaned off. New white insulator stuff on both metal transistors.

It all looked good, turn it on, the game plays blind and I get this:

Neck glow.
All resistors are hot (verified with my infarred thermometer) on boards that have them.
All transistors are hot on boards that have them.
No pic at all! Nothing!

Is there some adjustment that needs to be done after a cap kit on this thing?

Game plays blind and I got no pops, or smoke when I powered it up, that's a good sign.

I did a search on "plays blind" and "Pac Man". Most issues were corrected with cap kits, others never said what corrected the issue. Thanks,

Did you replace the brightness pot on the left daughtercard during the rebuild?

What happens when you turn up either of the brightness pots? There are two - one on the left daughtercard, and a black knob on the neckboard...

I replaced no pots, but did get the black pot with the caps. I figured I would do those if needed after I got it capped, just in case something went wrong I could narrow things down.

Pretty sure I adjusted brightness but will check again now... I just got back from checking 351 and black pot, adjusted both ways, got nothing.

Stand by please.

I checked brightness both ways, still nothing at all.

Forgot to add, the tube is clicking slightly and occasionally.

Speaking of the pots, I did hit a few of them with contact cleaner. I did this weeks ago and of course the ones I did were dry by now. I wiped any excess at the time too.
