Getting this monitor this far was a victory in itself. Bought it untested from a local collector in a vertical frame. After a day worth of work it is transplanted over to a kindly donated horizontal frame. At first power up no smoke, and I got a scrambled picture. Cool! All normal connections were beefed up with new solder. It needs a cap kit.
I thought it odd that the card had a new cap on it and a new adjustment pot. Now I know why, I guess.
I've been reading and it seems the easiest fix for a bad card is to swap it out with another. Is there a diagnosis thread I'm missing?
