IIRC I had one that was doing that, it was a B+ issue. Don't quote me on that, my memory sucks... but it never hurts to check.

h hold did no good its cranked all the way in that direction already and turning it just messes with the top and opsite side of the screen

what genral area is l351 in im done in the shop for the night but will be attacking it bright and early in the morn

ok tried adjusting h hold and l351 with no luck totaly recaped the xy board still no luck

its weird thought it may be tube releated so went ahead and dit the tube swap still no better

the right side is nice and straight and the left side has a nice ) in it hmmm ok where are the b+ test points on the board

and any othe suggestions
anyone have a list of caps and locations from the 4600 cap kits ill just put my own togather with my huge box of caps

ok well looking at bobs cap map and then comparing to the 4600 manual does this look like a correct cap kit
c623 470 uf 25 v
c622 1000 uf 35 v
c625 10 uf 160 v
c619 1 uf 50 v
c624 100 uf 25 v
c613 220 uf 25 v
c614 33 uf 25 v
c617 1uf 50 v
c608 47 uf 160 v

i have all these in my cap box excpt the 220 uf 25 v cap what does it controll

Look for the smaller transformers on the board. One is your pincushion transformer. Check for cold solder there and around. And cap it if you haven't...

cool thanks
reflowed all headers and all parts around the small transformers
replcaed all the caps i had that are listed in bobs cap map (had all excpt the 220 uf cap)
now i have a great pic still some slight cusion at the top left but i think a little pot tweaking should remove that

one more ? is there a special horz width tool for these it seems my crap shack kit dosent have a tool that fits anyone know the sie of hex tool i need il try and adjust it with a metal one with no power
is there a horz center adjustment

Get the plastic set from Bob Roberts. They tell you not to use metal tool for the widthcoil not so much so because of electricity, but because the core is compressed powdered ferrite and you run the risk (almost certainty) of cracking/chipping the core and screwing your coil up if you use metal tools.
