I am currently working on my 2005 Golden Tee with a WG2775 with a problem that I cannot seem to repair by the traditional CAP KIT.

Is there anybody that has had the similar problem and fixed it? I have included pictures to see what I am talking about.

I have RED, GREEN, and BLUE and can see the video while the game is in demo mode or playing mode but it's almost like the contrast is so high that the colors wash out.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

If making adjustments with the controls doesn't give you a good picture, I am assuming you disconnected the ribbon cable to the control board when taking the picture, then you may need to repair the chassis. I think there is a resistor on the neck board that changes the contrast, but I'll need to look at some notes to verify that. Also, the one big chip on the neck board controls your picture quality, and may be bad, so if you have a spare neck board you may want to exchange it to see if that helps, it should be part P719 and any of these will work for you.

That was my first thought after the cap kit did not seem to fix the problem.

So I packed my board and HDD, went to my friends house to hook it up to his NFL Blitz 99 with no luck.

The picture would not sync up, so I thought the monitor would not be the same resolution.

However, after reading the specs on both games they are both med res monitors.

Did I miss a dip switch setting?

you didn't try tinkering with the H-Hold at all on the Blitz cab? also, Blitz runs in either standard or medium res, your friend may very well be running it on a standard res monitor.

Yes I did try the adjustment card with no luck. As far as the type of monitor he has I am not sure. Its not like it jumps out and tells you the type of monitor like an LCD computer monitor "OUT OF RANGE"

LOL

Thanks for the suggestion.

First I would like to thank everybody for there input.

So I took the advice of trying another neck board, I was able to gather 2 more nick boards to test on this monitor and I am still left with the same problem. I have my RED, GREEN and Blue but no colors on the screen.

I will include a couple more pictures (when the service is available)

See if you can find another remote board to try. The colors for this monitor basically come into the board and go straight to the neckboard, so if the problem isn't with the neckboard, it has to be either:

a) something to do with brightness/contrast
b) a problem with your tube (most likely not if the color screens look okay)
c) an issue with the image signal coming from the game board.

If you have access to any other game monitor, I'd suggest connecting it to the video output to see what it looks like. The GT board has a dip switch to change it to standard-resolution output if you don't have access to another med-res game. Just make sure you change it back to med-res before reconnecting to the 2775...

Thanks for everybody's help and suggestions.

So I definitely believe the problem is the Tube, I put my chassis in another me Golden Tee 2005 and everything worked great with my Rebuilt Chassis.

So to eliminate any other problems that could be causing me grief I tried each component to make sure the rest of the game is in proper working order

I tried the video card, the VGA PC cable and the mother board; everything is in working order.

So now I picked up another MED RES monitor, this one has a VGA Connector coming from the nick card for the video input,so now I am connecting directly video card instead of the Video output from the Harnus, but the problem I am having now is multiple images.

I flipped SW1 to the on and off position to make sure I had it positioned correctly. LOW RES no picture really, MED RES 2 pictures.

I will post the pictures.

What am I missing???
