ok i have had a wg 25k7191 sitting around with a stuck on green gun
shot it with my rejuve today and now i have full range of color
after installing it intomy neo geo cab i have noticed the whole screen is doing the wiggle dance no ammount of adjusting is removing the wiggle dance so im going to recap the monitor

now for some ?
first i need a manual for this monitor i the k7xxx manuals i have pulled up do not look like this monitor my remote board has 7 adjustment pots allong with a deguass switch none of the manuals i have found show this all have 6 pots on the remote board and no deguas switch

next i need a list of the caps that are included in the cap kits for this monitor

thanks in adv all

got the chassis ready to pull and my bin of caps sitting right here next to me lol

You have a 25" k7000 series monitor and it uses the standard K7000 capkit.

This website has the schematic:

http://jstookey.com/arcade/WG_25k7191/

You use the schematic from the above site in conjunction with the K7000 manual.

Remember, some 7191 monitors had a remote adjust board and some do not & still have the controls on the main board like a conventional 19" K7000 would.

ok i think i may have a aftermarket chassis on this monitor as after pulling the chassis board i see a sticker that says power max and everything on the board is in korean and the underside has no locations listed on it

would this still be a wg chassis

i did find a buldging 100 uf @ 160 v cap so i replaced it and the wiggle is now gone but im having problemns with the monitor having bleed seems blue and white bleed no matter how much i adjust the pots i get bled on them bleed guess i need to confirm this is a wg chassis and not a aftermarket then totaly recap it
thanks

also i have some contact cleaner with lube built in is this ok to use on my scratchy pots

If it says, "PROMAX" and a model of C10xx then it is an aftermarket Wei-ya chassis, maybe a 1820HR.

Pictures would help.

holy monkey balls that thing had a crap ton of caps
i replaced all of the larger caps and a few of the smaller ones that looked suspect
im loaning out my cap tester 88 so am unable to test any inline
and man that chassis about wiped me out on my cap stash

it is indeed a pro max chassis

after replacing the caps
i have a great pic
but i have one last problem
the horz width coil on this chassis is blocked off so it can not be adjusted( there is a black slug inside the coil to prevent any tools being inserted)
there is a adjustment on the remote board for horz width but it does nothing at all(cleaned it and replaced it with no affect )
my screen is wayyyy to wide on this neo geo 2 slot

what next

Check the bottom of that chassis for a hole that allows you to access the width coil from underneath....

Yup that's a Wei-ya chassis alright. Probably an 1820HR or a 1220HR model (should be silkscreened on the foil side somewhere near the fuseholder clips). The remote board should be marked "620RC". Neckboard should be marked "428H". Likely a model 1220 is what you have.

This chassis may have a "horiz size" transistor that might be shorted causing too wide of a picture. Are you certain you replaced the electrolytic capacitors with the exact values? A wrong value could also cause width problems. Check the remove board connectors for bad solder joints. On the main board is a jumper wire you can move beteeen two different posts to select width range: N (narrower) or W (wider). Perhaps you need to move this to the N post (with power off naturally! ).

replaced with exact values uf wise some i had to use higher voltage ratings
like i said this damn chassis damn near tapped me out on caps lol

after screwing around a bit more if i wigle move the remote board the screen will fix itself (or when i power off and back on) width wise so tommorow ill pull the chassis again and reflow the headers for the remote board and also check the n/w jumper on the board and se what its set to
these neo geo's are know to output a wide vid signal so im not to concerned with it just want to make shure its at least functioning properly before i have my game sale friday

any idea if arcarc has manuals and schematics for these would it be listed under wei-ya on the site ill have to dig thrue my manuals and schematics i just downloaded as well and try and dig somthing up on this chassis

damn i still need to get a finger on the damn dead as hell kortek and g07 before friday argg im going to be busy tommorow lol

again thanks for the help guys

thanks for the help and links ken
got her all up and running now
after reflowing the header pins on the chassis and remote board everyting works like it should
damn im going to have to make a cap order tho lol that damn pro max chasiss had more caps on it than 3 wells gardner chassis

hey Ken, i figured you would know this! i have a Wei-ya that looks like this and is on a 25" but is prob a "fill in replacement" as it was held in by tie-wraps in frame. it says underneath pcb 828H1 and neck pcb is 428H CRT. that mean it's for a 28incher??

i have same prob as above and reflowed all and still no luck....squiggly H lines, light crackling, and out of focus(no arcing visually). also, too large of image and can't adj down....coil has same gook on top and can't adj either(underneath has no whole as specified above)!

goin to capkit now but can't find capkit list anywhere??? i have several capkits that i can steal from. don't wanna replace all caps (uggh)

also, any other ideas for the size, focus, and crackliing???

thanks
Kelly
